A New VeteransVoices.org Site Under Construction

VeteransVoices.org website will be offline and unaccessible until mid-February as it undergoes a complete rebuild to add more value for our veteran community. Mark your calendars to revisit the site with its new features, and to submit your new writings, poems and artwork.

This year, Veterans Voices Writing Project reflects on 80 years since volunteers first went into VA hospitals to help WWII veterans write to heal from unprecedented experiences, extended separations and seemingly insurmountable challenges transitioning back to civilian life. Veterans have shared their stories over eight decades of service.

To mark our 80th anniversary, we have undertaken a huge project to digitize and preserve for all time the invaluable veterans’ voices – the nearly 12,000 stories, poems and artwork collected the past eight decades – that help veterans realize no one is alone, and help a nation understand the real cost of serving.
