Dreaming of Paradise A splash of red feathers soar by, A cardinal brings greetings from above. Sunflowers with bright yellow petals fully bloom as they reach for the sun. Skies of azure blue and pure white clouds Hover overhead in their majestic glory. Sun-drenched fields of Kelly green clover shining in the meadow on a spring day. The scent of multicolored wildflowers Blend into nature's sweet perfume A delicious aroma of the untouched land, the purity of nature in its virgin state. A bastion of fresh air undamaged by the pollution of man and machines. A dream of paradise is now a nightmare. The heaven of nature has become a victim. As Adam and Eve were banished from Eden for eating the apple from the Tree of Knowledge, man will lament his selfishness and arrogance as it weathers the changing of nature’s climate. For as man continues improving his life, nature suffers in the altering environments. Unable to adapt it will perish and humans will follow in the bitter winds of the storms.
