Prayer for Peace



O Lord, help me bring peace

Into a world filled with hate

Let me show forth your love

Where people are hurting others

Teach me to practice forgiveness

Where hopelessness seems to abound

May I live a life of hope and faith

Wherever there is darkness

Let me shine the light of your love

Where there is sadness and sorrow

Show me how to bring joy to others

In all these things I look to heaven

For in heaven everyone has value

Your love extends to all the world

Your love for us is from beginning to end

And your loving peace will prevail

Let me be an instrument of your peace

Both now and forever more

In your holy name I pray, amen.*
