Oh, God above, I thank You for this life. 
To know me better, I spend time today
in peace. I walk this desert ground alone
and think toward You as I, myself, disclose.
The hot sun shines and warms the earth and me 
as I reflect on God and who I am.
I hold myself and feel myself alone.
God gave me life; I thank Him as I pray.
God’s care for me I know as I look up
and see this world He gave to me with love. 
This wealth untold is mine from His kind hand
to do with what I will until He calls.
