Dark has fallen across the valley
The meadow only lit by the moon
With clouds over the hills, I see shadows everywhere
But I am not afraid of this night
I hear the peepers singing their song 
I smell the fresh fragrances of the earth
I see a flicker here, a flicker there, 
I can almost hear them say, catch me if you can!
Hold me in your little hand, for just a little while
Then let me go again so I can be free to dance in the air
So, I can be happy to light your way 
Giving you a little joy and putting a smile on your little face.
