Vanities Vain By: Lawrence W Langman (c) Some people hide behind they're vanities vain. Lost inside the mire where it's pouring down rain. Drowning in forgiveness of puddles full of blood. Holding back emotions overcoming ire's flood. Singing to the angels yet dancing with the devil. Hanging onto dreams where bodies beget to revel. Religion holds in place what minds hold esteemed. Yet belief isn't vital to live nor is it to be redeemed. For faith of another being don't hold your souls above. It's knowing your inner self for truth, kindness and love. All creature's hearts beat without hearing a single drum. As long as we are there for all matters not from the book it comes. So believe in what you shall if it brightens up your eyes. We can all relish in amazement what's bequeathed up in the skies.
