I was a Corpsman

You were a Nurse

I was in the field

You were in the hospital

I rescued after hearing ‘Corpsman up!’

You saved after hearing ‘momma.’

We did what we had to do

regardless of the circumstances.

Many lived, many died and we

continue wrestling with the memories

of each one.
