This road I’m on is hard,
but there’s no option
for me to turn back.

The painful memories I have buried
have taken a toll
on those that I love,
but more so on myself.

I have to face my deepest fears,
tear open the scars
of my traumatic experiences,

Feel the emotions and the pain
that I buried inside
and tried to forget.

The journey will be difficult,
but I don’t have to
take it by myself.

This road I’m on can only
go in one direction,
straight ahead.
