Every rose has its thorn!
I learned that the day I was born.
Stuck with a safety pin 
while changing my cloth diaper
I cried out, “I won’t surrender!”
Thought it was painful, like other lessons in life.
It wasn’t as painful as losing my wife.
Other events that also hurt
Were forced psych, injections with disabling squirts!
All of that pain is a thing of the past
Finally, I’m free at last!
