The war isn’t over
No not for me
               Because I live 
With service connected injuries

A bullet to my thigh
                I breathed in poison air
I might live to grow older
Does  anyone care?

      The VA puts you on a waiting list
Makes you wait till hell freezes over
         Just another Persian Gulf
Wounded combat soldier ……
