The Love of God

By Gene Groner, Marines

Writing Type: Poem

By Gene Alllen Groner

VA Medical Center--Prescott, AZ

The love of God

Is more than we can measure.

His spirit flows

Like wind from shore to shore.

Love makes us free

And is our greatest treasure,

God’s gift to all

For all e-ter-ni-ty.

The love of God

Is wider than forever.

Love lifts our hearts

And souls to heaven’s door.

Love brings us light

That reaches through the darkness,

And gives us hope

And strength to carry on.

The love of God

Can lighten all our burdens

And bring us peace

That lasts forevermore.

Notes: I want to share my testimony of the power and transforming grace of the Love of God. My prayer is that some veteran will be strengthened with new hope for the coming year. God bless you. Gene Allen Groner, USMC retired 1945 South Lake Terrace Independence, Missouri 64055
