Mind Darkness

By Val Benitez, Navy

Writing Type: Poem, Prose

By Val Benitez
--Austin, TX

Silent,
Waiting for therapy,
Mind darkness.
Nightmares, pain,
None understands,
Stress,
Mind darkness.
Streets cold,
Hungry, sadness,
another day passes.
None cares,
" Get a job, Scum."
And the mind
Goes darker.
I beg you to love me,
I beg you to see me,
It is just my mind,
It is just my heart,
It is not me.
Give me a chance.
